Lots Announced for the Inaugural A-List Auction at Bolesworth

All eyes are on the A-List Auction as the collection of nine 4-7YO world-class show jumpers and eight elite yearlings are announced. A new concept to the UK, the A-List Auction is an exciting addition to the Science Supplements Bolesworth Elite Auctions Calendar, taking place on Friday 9th July at the Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show.

The impressive line-up of lots boasts highly sought-after, modern breeding, with a strong emphasis on ‘Black-Type’ dam lines and direct relations to top international 1.60m performers. The hand-picked collection of talent under saddle have been chosen with the top sport in mind, all with experience in the ring.

A highlight of the A-List catalogue is five-year-old mare Ashdale Allstar, by Olympic Champion Big Star, out of top Grade A performer Ashdale Luxara, who is already displaying all the talent and athleticism of her parents having only produced double clears. Other stand out lots include the six-year-old grey gelding, Millfield Chrisis, by the highly regarded Christian 25, already showing a fantastic aptitude for top sport and endless scope. The exceptional line up also features four-year-old Clayton Z, a modern eye-catching gelding by the influential Cicero Z, out of Baccara Z, who has been carefully produced and ready to start what promises to be an exciting career and the very special 7YO blood-type mare, One Diamond, by renowned sire Diarado, out of Rubinja, already with experience on the international circuit with Millie Allen and Angelie Von Essen, proving to be brave and careful with a trainable attitude.

Trials and viewings are available and will be taking place at Bolesworth on 28th and 29th June, with a number of further opportunities available at the Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show by request.

In addition to the selection of ridden horses, the A-List Auction will also present a collection of outstanding yearlings, whose bloodlines include popular coveted sires such as Christian 25, Casall ASK and Cicero Z, all with proven world class progeny at elite levels of the sport. The catalogue of yearlings follows the Bolesworth Elite Auction ethos in offering lots with exceptional parentage on both sides, with all horses from ‘Black-Type’ dams and closely related to top performers and illustrious winners.

Headline lots include the exciting bay colt Loughview Comme Parfait, by Comme Il Faut and out of Dermott Lennon’s prolific 1.60m Grand Prix Winner Loughview Lou-Lou, B Christian, a striking filly with all the scope and athleticism of her sire Christian 25, out of B-Jacqueline, full uterine sister to BWP approved stallion and 1.60m performer Cooper Van De Heffinck, and athletic grey colt Joranz Diamond, by Daniel Deusser’s 1.60m Grand Prix winner Air Jordan Z, out of 1.50m Grand Prix mare Diamonds for Douglas.

The A-List Auction marks a new era in the Science Supplements Bolesworth Elite Auction’s evolution, having established successful foal and yearling auctions for the last six years. The stringent selection process for the A-List Auction has been overseen by Bolesworth Managing Director Nina Barbour and Barry O’Connor, well-known on the International Show Jumping scene as a highly regarded specialist at sourcing future champions worldwide. Alongside the support of locally based International Show Jumpers Dave Quigley, James Davenport, Angelie Von Essen and leading Sports Horse Vet Peter Scholefield, the Bolesworth Elite Auctions team have sourced the finest young horses, destined for the top of the sport.

All lots have been meticulously vetted by Peter Scholefield and the team from Hird & Partners, with x-rays being fully screened as an essential part of the selection process. The x-rays and vet report will be available to view seven days ahead of the auction for each horse, alongside a video showing the key elements of the live vetting with supporting commentary from Peter himself.
