Sensational Six Figure Sales at The Science Supplements Bolesworth A-List Auction

One Diamond

It was an outstanding night for the inaugural Science Supplements Bolesworth A-List Action with a record number of Lots reaching six figure sales.

With fast and furious bidding from the off, the exceptional hammer prices made for an electric evening as the exclusive selection of handpicked showjumpers destined for the top were presented at The Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show.

Supported by Science Supplements, The A-List Auction catalogue consisted of an impressive selection of proven ridden horses, already having success on the national and international stage, alongside elite yearlings carefully selected for their aptitude and potential for future top spot.

Fiercely fought for with highly competitive bidding from the off, 7-year-old One Diamond, a very blood Diarado mare with super international form and top rideability, was the highly desirable auction topper of the night reaching £190,000. With experience on the international circuit and showing great promise in the age classes, this mare is proving to be brave and careful, a real talent for the future and fantastic investment for her new owners.

Setting the standard from the off, it was Lot 2 Hirina Z, a striking 4yo bay mare by Heart Touch, who set the tone for the evening with the hammer falling at £72,000 with an online bid from Poland.

With the bidding continuing at pace, Lot 9 Millfield Chrisis, a stunning 6-year-old by the much admired and missed Christian 25, impressed buyers with his natural ability, endless scope and unlimited potential to jump the biggest tracks. The accelerated bidding battle commenced with the hammer falling at £105,000.

Renowned for offering highly successful yearling auctions, the ridden talent was quickly followed by an exceptional collection of Yearling Lots, selected by the Bolesworth Elite Auctions team for their impressive ‘Black Type’ damlines, natural presence and athleticism.

Lot 12 Lord Louis 25, an athletic colt with an impressive 1.60m damline, by sire of the moment Christian 25 out of an Emerald dam, was the highlight Yearling of the auction. With all the physical attributes of his damsire Emerald, this colt oozes presence and class for the future. Bidding was straight off the mark as buyers raced to a final sale price, before final ownership was awarded at £35,000.

Earmarked early-on for his impressive bloodlines, it was lucky Lot 13 Loughview Comme Parfait, son of prolific top 1.60m performer of Dermott Lennon’s Loughview Lou-Lou and by the Cornet Obolensky sire, Comme Il Faut, who emerged as a headline Lot of the evening. Securing this special yearling for an impressive £26,000 was Old Lodge Stud, owned by his Royal Highness Prince Torki Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Kabeer.

Now in its seventh year, the addition of ridden Lots to the already highly successful yearling auction is seen as a natural progression for the Science Supplements Bolesworth Elite Auctions. With a strong emphasis on ‘Black Type’ damlines and proven Sires, all Lots were carefully selected by Nina Barbour and the A-List Auction team and completed a thorough vetting from renowned Sports Horse Vet Peter Scholefield. The depth of experience of the A-List Auction panel, along with the established reputation of Science Supplements Bolesworth Elite Auctions and a fully transparent vetting process offered buyers complete confidence throughout the auction process.

Nina Barbour said: “We are thrilled that the Science Supplements A-List Auction delivered as promised. The collective expertise of the selection team was testament to the success of the auction.
